Job Title: Public Health Specialist –Care and Support

Qualifications;
•Education Required: Completion of a master’s degree in public health nursing health policy , public administration , behavioral or social sciences is required .
•Work experience required : Five years mid to senior level public health experience in developing , implementing and evaluating HIV/AIDS Prevention or public health or development assistance programs that involve coordination with an international agency or implementing partiner is required .
•Knowledge required : Detailed knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues , care and support program design , implementation and evaluation is required .Through knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention , care and support services , counseling and interventions , behavior change , testing and treatment is required . Good working knowledge of the government health care system and structures including familiarity with MOH policies , program priorities and regulations is required . In-depth specialist knowledge of USG/AIDS public health programs , strategies , methords , processes and techniques used to plan , develop , implement and evaluate results of care and support programs is required .
Selection Process;
•After an initial application screening , applicants will be invited to a testing process that may include a written examination and oral interviews.
•The selected candidate must pass pre-employment medical and security investigations before beginning work .
•The initial appointment period is one year subject to renewal
•Normally candidates for employment are hired at the first step of the designated pay grade , in some instances , candidates may be hired at a higher step when exceptional qualifications or previous governmental service and pay level so warrant .
