JOB DETAILS:

The Site Station Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the petrol station, ensuring smooth functionality, exceptional customer service, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, and optimizing overall station performance.


Activities:


• Participate in hiring and training service station staff.

• Handle money and banking

• Manage, train, and evaluate site staff performance.

• Manage operational excellence of the site.

• Sharing the daily sales report with the Territory Manager

• Report engineering, maintenance, and repair hiccups with the territory manager

and the operations manager as soon as they are detected.

• Drive sales and targets.

• Handle customer complaints and queries in a professional way.

• Manage the relationship between the site and customers.

Assign, schedule and monitor the tasks given to site staff.

Answer and resolve customer needs and objectives.

• Ensure joyous experience to customers and guests through great pleasant services.

Chair functional team meetings and events to enhance quality in services.

• Train other site staff of customer service and product knowledge.

• Do inventory controls of materials, items, and products.

• Maintain the service station premises in a neat and organized manner.

Maintain good relationships with the vendors and suppliers.

• Bill and collect payments from customers for services rendered.

• Receive money from pump attendants and verify the amounts.

• Enforce the Health and Safety activities.

• Manage the miscellaneous expenses.

• Pay site bills like water, electricity, security and so on.

• Monitor and follow up the standards set for the site like automation, UHOT, hygiene


Qualification:


• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Business Management or a related field (preferred).


Experience:


• Proven experience in retail management, with a focus on petrol station operations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong written & spoken English language.

• Basic Computer Skills in Excel and Word

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Proficiency in financial management.

• Sound understanding of safety regulations and compliance.

• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Mobilize farmers groups to undertake commercial agricultural farming practices by  planting high yielding crop and carry out a farmers training in specific crops with tangible disbursement amounts and client numbers.
·         Link the farmers to a market or develop a marketing strategy to benefit the farmers during harvest time.
·         Develop an agricultural Training curriculum and promotional material for least 4 crops; with specific details on planting, spacing, use and application of seed, fertilizer, herbicide, pesticide and post-harvest handling, etc.
·         Set up demonstration gardens on ECLOF farm on identified crops and advise management on topography plans.

Job requirements:

·         A degree in Agriculture plus Post graduate qualification in Agronomy.
·         Qualifications and experience in agronomy especially commercial agriculture, animal, crop husbandry
·         Knowledge of inherent risks associated with specific crops such as sunflower, Maize, beans and horticulture and domestic animals such as cattle, etc.
·         Experience in training commercial farmers in agricultural activities such as planting, spacing, seed variety, post-harvest handling, irrigation, crop insurance, etc.
·         Experience in developing demonstration farms, marketing strategies, seed contracts and long term partnership.
·         Experience in agricultural microfinance and FEW an added advantage.

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and technical direction to the;
Savings and Credit/Association Development Officer
Honey Support Officer
Farming as a Business Officer
Savings and Credit Officer
Marketing Support Officer
Support officers under the Business services unit to;
Develop appropriate training materials
Offer appropriate TOTs to Field Extension Workers (FEWs) in coordination with the Field Extension Coordinator
Make periodic follow up of the FEWs on delivery of appropriate trainings to program beneficiaries and that uptake is strong
Support the Savings and Credit/Association: responsible for the development officer to promote the development of viable farmer associations
Support the Marketing officer in promoting marketing initiatives at individual farmer, farmer group and association levels covering crops, honey and livestock
Actively monitor the establishment and development of relevant private sector initiatives targeted at supporting RWANU beneficiaries in the honey sector and others
Serve as RWANU's liaison officer with other organisations that have agri-business related interventions for purposes of sharing best practices and approaches
Perform any other task as required by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicant should hold a business related degree with a bias in agribusiness.
A minimum of five or more years’ professional experience supporting agribusiness initiatives preferably in hard to reach areas like Karamoja.
Computer literacy skills with excellent command of word processing and spreadsheets
Possess the ability to supervise staff
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Proven ability to delegate and work with a team
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills
Language: Fluent written and spoken English language skills are a must.
NgaKarimojong language skills highly desirable.
