Job Title: Deputy
Project Manager, Head of Department Agriculture

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technically support the Manager to implement projects covering livelihoods, food security, infrastructure rehabilitation, DRR and informal vocational skills development for youth
- Responsible for the coordination and guidance of the project team in all sectors including the administration/finance and logistic departments
- In charge of the coordination and liaise the cooperation with District Government Departments and ail other implementing partners (NGOs, institutions)
- Initiate and conduct skill development for the project team
- Take lead and manage the establishment and operation of Farmer Field School groups
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
- Past exposure and experience of eight years in rural development project implementation, preferably with international organizations
- Six years proven work experience in Farmer Field School extension approach.
- Sound theoretical and practical background in concepts related to food security and nutrition
- Strong project management experience (Planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling), preferably in a leading management position (e.g. project manager)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Excellent English oral and written ability
- High degree of capacity to multi task and coordinate diverse activities under pressure in rural remote areas
