Job Title: Grant Reporting Officer
VSO is an international development agency that works through volunteer professionals to fight global poverty and disadvantage.
Job Entails
•Sub grant management : Ensure all sub grantee budgets are effectively managed and expenditure monitored on a regular basis. Manage the reporting for sub grantees meetings all external deadlines .
•Budget management : Work with the Finance manager to ensure that grant budgets are effectively managed , including regular reporting . Contribute to the production of annual budgets/re-forecasts.
•Financial management: Submit monthly cash flow forecasts to cover program activities for the next period . Ensure income has been received and internal controls are adhered to. Deliver training to country office staff, as required . Contribute towards funding proposals .
Qualifications
•Part qualified accountant , idearly studying to complete an accounting qualification.
•Degree in accounting , finance or related subject .
•At least 3 years experience of financial planning and sub grant accounting .

Responsibilities
•Assist the Project Manager in budget preparation and budget monitoring .
•Review payment requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with the project with the project financial obligations
•Generate monthly financial transactions reports advance reports and submission for financial decisions .
•Assist the Project Manager in responding to the queries /clarifications on the financial reports .
Qualifications
•A Bachelor’s degree in Accounts , Business Administration with a bias in Accounts and or relevant qualifications
•At least 5 years and above work experience in same position obtained from a busy and reputable organization
•Knowledge and experience of Accounts packages and Ms . Office packages
•Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
