Role:
To plan and supervise the management of internal affairs and monitor

Key Result Areas

• Coordinate the Preparation of MDC and SAC reports in line with HRMM

represent URA in court
• Advise and Recommend from works for institutionalizing of best practices for

• Review and coordinate the settlement of queries, claim and provide technical
support to management and staff in line with departmental instructions
• Manage the performance and development of staff in line with the HRMM

Person Specifications;
(a) Academic Qualifications
Essential:
a) Honours’ degree in Law, (LLB) Commerce, Accountancy or Auditing
b) Credit in Math and English
Desirable;
a) Training in Criminal Investigations
Experience & Knowledge:
a) At least three (3) years’ experience in handling investigations in a large
organization.
b) Knowledge and experience in progressing criminal cases will be an
added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the Centre’s examinations process.
•Keep custody of all academic records.
•Provide secretariat and organize Academic Board and its sub-committee meetings.
 Key Result Areas:
•Reports to the Principal Assistant Secretary.
•Liaise with other departments/sections to constitute the agendas of Board of Examiners and its sub-committee meetings in accordance with Board of Examiners and sub-committee rules and  regulations.

•Submit periodic reports to the Principal Assistant Secretary of assigned, delegated and designated duties.
•Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal Assistant Secretary from time to time.
Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Education Management and Administration or Public Administration and Management.
•B.A (Hons) degree in Education, Social Sciences, Arts or any related degree from a recognized university.
•Postgraduate qualification in Records Management is an added advantage.
•3 years relevant work experience handling administration and management issues in an institution of higher learning.

•    Lead in financial management, system development and line management of financial staff for the Kampala office
•    Lead in developing capacity support and collaborative relationships with Saferworld staff and partners to ensure effective financial management across the board
Duties:
•    Lead in financial management, system development and line management of financial staff for the Kampala office and support the program teams
•    Manage the finance component of the Finance & Admin Officer’s role: keeping records and performing financial procedures (receipts, payments, petty cash, payroll), including records of program activities
•    Lead development and maintenance of strong control environment (bank reconciliations and other control accounts, performance management data, etc)
•    Manage performance of hard & software accounting systems, leading improvement and system enhancement work, ensuring good housekeeping
•    Lead reporting to Saferworld colleagues, donors and London head office. Focus on continuous improvement and consistent accurate and high quality reporting
•    Effectively organize and manage internal and external audits
•    Produce statutory (legal) accounts and other legal returns
Requirements:
•    A basic degree (Economics / Accounting / Finance or Business Administration) or compensating relevant work experience.
•    A recognized accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, etc)
•    At least 5 years’ experience in financial management/administration within an non-governmental organization (NGO)
•    Experience of computerized accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage or other systems) and an aptitude for system improvements and developments
•    Experience of managing EU, US Government and other bilateral donor finance and grants
•    Experience of developing and improving financial systems in a way that is appropriate for the specific programs in place
