Reward and Performance Management Specialist Job Vacancy at Centenary Bank in Kampala

Job Title: Reward and Performance Management Specialist

Responsibilities:

• To monitor, review and implement competitive employee reward systems for the bank in line with the bank business plan, reward strategy and HR policy.
• Plan, review, monitor and report on the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) in Key Result Areas where staff do not meet performance expectations) for the Bank in line with the Performance Management guidelines.
• Coordinate the process of identifying staff with potential to assume higher responsibility for the Bank in line with the Performance Management guidelines, the Management Development Program and the strategic objectives of the Bank.
• Plan and undertake regular salary surveys, reviews and consolidate information for aligning staff compensation and benefits in line with market rates and Human Resource policy.
• Plan, monitor, review, and implement payment of staff salary, incentives, benefits and statutory deductions in line with the bank policy and the Uganda labor laws.
• Plan, monitor, and implement the performance based reward systems in the Bank to drive employee productivity in line with set benchmarks, performance management guidelines and Bank policy.
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of the Performance Management (PM) systems and generate periodic reports in line with the HR policy and the performance management guidelines.
• Coordinate the development/review of the performance management instruments (i.e. role, competence profiles, performance agreements, Performance Improvement Plans and scorecards) in line with the PM guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Honours degree in Human Resource Management .Organization Psychology or Social Sciences.
• A post graduate qualification in Human Resource management or organizational psychology is an added advantage.
• Have a thorough grasp of Performance Management systems including exposure to the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
• Have a thorough understanding of reward and recognitions systems and their implementation.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Negotiation skills including ability to persuade colleagues to use and adapt to new techniques.
• Drive for results.
• Computing and technology application skills.
• Adaptable and flexible in tasks undertaken, with the ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to work effectively in teams.
