Job Summary: 
The Investment Officer will perform due diligence on prospective financial institutions seeking lines of credit and other related products 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
 •Appraise potential financial institutions /proposals and market for agribusiness wholesale lending.
 •Appraise guarantee cases as submitted by partner financial institutions for the aBi finance’s approval
 •Train and sensitize partners for improved portfolio quality and timely reporting.
 •Monitor financial institutions closely on product utilization, fee / interest payments, beneficiary tracking and maturing repayments.
 •Support process of assembling relevant reports to management and Board.
 •Emphasize and protect high portfolio quality (Guarantee and Lines of Credit)
 •Maintain records, files pertaining to the Lines of Credit and Guarantee schemes including legal and collateral documentation.
 •Maintain outstanding guarantees, lines of credit and any other investments and propose actions where necessary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics and related professional courses from accredited institutions 
•Additional training in credit analysis and risk management will be an added advantage
•At least three years in credit risk analysis
•Excellent analytical and report writing skills

•Organize and facilitate monthly research team meetings
•Revise and edit research department reports and working papers
•Develop and maintain the research department’s web presence
•Develop a communication strategy for the research department to share findings with a variety of outside audiences
•Liaise with other development and research institutions to foster collaboration in ongoing and potential projects
•Present research findings and projects at a variety of public forums, including to non-research focused audiences
•Assist with data analysis on various research projects, when necessary and time allowing
•Undertake independent research projects, time allowing
•Use research department data and writings to create research previews, research summaries, technical reports, and other documents for a variety of audiences
•Develop a communication strategy for the research department to share information with BRAC Programme Management

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•The applicant should possess a master’s Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related discipline
Five or more years of work experience in a research capacity or with a development organization
•Proven track record of excellent written pieces in popular media
•Advanced written and oral communication skills for a variety of audiences and purposes including blogs, academic journals, print media, etc.
•Microsoft Office proficiency and some experience with data analysis software such as Nvivo or STATA
•Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
•Experience managing complex projects
•Age: Candidates between the ages of 30-40 are preferred
