Job Title: Assistant Accountant
About UNADA:
Uganda National Agro Input Dealers’ Association (UNADA) is the national apex organization for all agro-input dealers in Uganda registered under the NGO statute in 2003. UNADA believes that the private sector input dealers are the engine of growth for the Ugandan agricultural sector and are a prime force behind the modernization of Uganda’s agriculture and the achievement of national food security. Our mission is “to represent, network and empower member Agra- dealers to operate sustainable profitable businesses providing quality agro- vet inputs and services to farmers.” UNADA has over 1,000 members organized in regions and district-level branches. It provides skills development, credit linkages, market development, market linkages, policy and advocacy services to respond to the changing needs of the Agro Input sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop timely financial reports
•Consolidate budgets and funds flow for the organization
•Review financial transactions, cash management, payroll, payables and inventory receivables in accordance with donor and accounting standards of UNADA.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
•The candidates should possess a Degree in Commerce or Business Administration(Accounting Option)
•S/he should possess at least a year’s experience in a reputable organization
•Must be self driven, results-oriented, flexible, customer focused, innovative and an excellent team player
•Proficiency in accounting computer packages i.e. Quickbooks will be an added advantage

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manual and Automatic switching operations to approved standards and regulations
•Ensuring maintenance of voltage, frequency and power factor standards
•Responding promptly to all alerts and alarms
•Managing system interaction with UETCL in accordance with protocols and agreements
•Managing Planned, Unplanned and Emergency outages in accordance with company outage protocols
•Delivering up to the minute forecasts for short/ medium and long term supply/demand
•Ensuring that entire team of Engineers and Technicians are operating in a safe and reliable way and that they are equipped to do so
•Ensuring that control infrastructure is operating at maximum availability and reliability
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•The candidate should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 (Seven) years significant experience with Electricity Networks and systems operation
•Excellent analytical skills with sound judgment when making decisions
•Possess capacity to operate sensibly and calmly in a crisis.
