Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize for marking of examination scripts;
Guide on persons to engage in the marking of examination scripts;
Manage examination marking centres;
Compile and send detailed reports on the examination Marking exercises;
Compile lists of examiners and make appropriate recommendations for promotion, demotion, termination, training and retaining;
Update and maintain a database of Credible examiners;
Guide the Senior Examinations Officer on all matters of Examinations Management;
Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicants should primarily hold an honors' Degree in Nursing or Midwifery or Education or Medical Education.
Be a medical professional i.e. Nursing or Midwifery or any related field.
A minimum of three or more years’ experience in administration of Nursing or Midwifery National Examinations at institutional level.
At least two years’ experience as a Tutor in a health related field.
Core Competencies: Strategic planning, organizational skills, confidentiality, concern for quality and standards, time management and integrity.
Age: Between 25 -40 Years

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the recruitment, training and day-to-day supervision of ICAP Uganda PHIA Project staff.
Work in close collaboration with ICAP HQ and other ICAP PHIA staff, CDC and the MoH, oversee all country-level aspects of the PHIA project including protocol development; ethical reviews; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training manual development; staff training; community sensitization; project implementation; adherence to approved protocol/SOPs; and data management, analysis, and dissemination.
Manage all study activities conducted in Uganda by outside sub-contractors and communicate regularly with the sub-contractors to ensure that all activities adhere to approved protocol/SOPs and are in line with the study timeline.
Represent ICAP in discussions about the PHIA Project held with the MoH, CDC and other in-country collaborators.
Communicate effectively to various audiences regarding the details of the PHIA Project and keenly track PHIA progress and prepare PHIA progress reports on a regular basis to be shared with the MoH, CDC Uganda, other local organizations and ICAP HQs.
Steer the development and implementation of a data dissemination strategy for the PHIA Project, in particular with plans for local dissemination, in coordination with CDC, MoH and ICAP HQs.
Conduct capacity building workshops, as needed, to support the implementation of the PHIA Project.
Actively participate and lead in the preparation of scientific analyses, abstracts and publications.
Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate should hold an MPH, MD, PhD, or equivalent professional degree.
At least four (4) years of research or survey experience.
Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-organization collaborations, and capacity building of local partner organizations.
Demonstrated skills in supervising staff, team building and management.
Excellent data analysis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Demonstrated experience in conducting national-level surveys.
Demonstrated experience working in low-resource settings with HIV program/research experience.
Previous experience with statistical sampling as well as quantitative data collection methodologies and database design and management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swahili language.
