Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and technical direction to the;
• Savings and Credit/Association Development Officer
• Honey Support Officer
• Farming as a Business Officer
• Savings and Credit Officer
• Marketing Support Officer
• Support officers under the Business services unit to;
• Develop appropriate training materials
• Offer appropriate TOTs to Field Extension Workers (FEWs) in coordination with the Field Extension Coordinator
• Make periodic follow up of the FEWs on delivery of appropriate trainings to program beneficiaries and that uptake is strong
• Support the Savings and Credit/Association: responsible for the development officer to promote the development of viable farmer associations
• Support the Marketing officer in promoting marketing initiatives at individual farmer, farmer group and association levels covering crops, honey and livestock
• Actively monitor the establishment and development of relevant private sector initiatives targeted at supporting RWANU beneficiaries in the honey sector and others
• Serve as RWANU's liaison officer with other organisations that have agri-business related interventions for purposes of sharing best practices and approaches
• Perform any other task as required by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should hold a business related degree with a bias in agribusiness.
• A minimum of five or more years’ professional experience supporting agribusiness initiatives preferably in hard to reach areas like Karamoja.
• Computer literacy skills with excellent command of word processing and spreadsheets
• Possess the ability to supervise staff
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Proven ability to delegate and work with a team
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Language: Fluent written and spoken English language skills are a must.
• NgaKarimojong language skills highly desirable.

• Update and maintain a database of examinations and awards system at the UNMEB Head Office and ensure that strict procedures are followed for regular back-up of data.

• Oversee the examination processes with relevant stakeholders.

• Prepare and compile past examination papers for publication.
• Take part in the preparation of annual budgets and work plans in accordance with the UNMEB Strategic Plan.
• Offer advisory support to the relevant subcommittees of the UNMEB; and,
• Carry out any such other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The ideal candidate should hold a basic degree of BSN in either Nursing, Midwifery or both with evidence of Medical Education; Possession of a Master's degree in a Health related or other field is required
• Demonstrated competence in handling examination matters at Institutional level;
• A minimum of five or more years’ experience in managing Nursing and Midwifery state examinations;-
• Past experience in setting, moderating and marking of written and practical examinations.
• Core Competencies: Strategic planning; organizational skills; confidentiality; professionalism; integrity; Good communication and leadership skills; efficiency and effectiveness; team work and resilience.
Age: Between 35 -55 Years
