Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Actively support the Executive Council in coordinating, managing and implementing the approved activities in the work plan and action plans.
• Expeditiously follow-up Uganda Hotel Owners’ Executive Council resolutions.
• Actively coordinate the Uganda Tourism Association, Uganda Tourism Board and Ministry of Tourism work activities.
• In addition to the Chair of Executive Council, act as a spokesperson for the organization.
• Serve as an Ex-officio Member of the Executive Council.
• Represent the Executive Council at various internal and external meetings.
• Develop policies, procedures, guidelines and operational plans for Executive Council approval.
• Oversee the logistical arrangements and preparations for the Uganda Hotel Owners’ Association activities, meetings, retreats and workshops.
• Prepare and develop funding proposals and resource mobilization.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicants should hold a University Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism Management or Public Relations.
• Possess relevant management skills gained from practical experience of working in a Hospitality or Tourism sector.
• Demonstrable relevant skills to the duties and responsibilities mentioned above.
• Possess excellent marketing, public relations, office management, IT and financial skills.
Age: Between 30 and 50 years.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive PREFA vehicles safely and in line with PREFA policy and guidelines.
• Maintain the vehicle(s) in a clean and sound condition and ensure the vehicle is mechanically attended to.
• In charge of maintaining an up to date mileage log book and submit to the supervisor on a monthly basis.
• Ensure traffic regulations, timely renewal of road license and insurance.
• Quickly report any damage to the vehicle or defects arising at the earliest possible time to the supervisor and to the police as required in line with the traffic regulations and PREFA policy.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The Driver should hold an Ordinary level of Education – “O” Level certificate
• Possession of a valid Classes A, C and E driver’s license.
• At least three (3) years driving experience in a reputable organization
• Possess the ability to read and write English is a must
• Defensive driving training
• Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
