Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure the general functioning of the MSF pharmacies within the country; and the supply to MSF projects pharmacies and/ or health facilities supported by MSF in the country
• Provide timely support to medical stock managers and storekeepers
• Ensure training and supervision to medical stock managers and storekeepers
• Actively participate to strategic developments (task shifting, decentralization ...)
• Ensure public relation activity with institutional partners
• Expeditiously follow up national medical supplies to health facilities (Central Medical Store/MOH)
• Technically support the implementation of GDPs
• Also, in charge of validating imports
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should hold a pharmacist degree and be a registered pharmacist in Uganda
• Past exposure and experience in NGO pharmacy management is a strong asset.
• Mastery of national regulations (NDA, GDPs, PSUs, URA)
• Skills in management of items with description and codification
• Skills in GDPs implementation
• Possess the ability to calculate and follow up the average monthly consumption
• Past working experience with Logistix 7 and Easymed or Isystock is an advantage
• Computer literacy skills with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Excellent organisational skills
• High degree of independence, flexibility and personal initiative
• Possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment, good physical condition.
• Ability to summarise, and to work independently, good stress management, resourcefulness. Honesty, ability to prioritise.
• Language: English mandatory, French and/or Luganda strong assets
