Job Title: Senior Manager - Mobile Money Operations

MTN-Uganda is seeking to recruit a competent individual to fill the vacant Position of Senior Manager - Mobile Money Operations

The position reports to the Head of Mobile Money

Duties:
Develop and implement a robust operations framework to ensure the delivery of a safe, reliable and convenient service at all touch points. This function will have responsibility for product development and operational support in the delivery of consistent customer experience in line with MTN and Regulatory requirement

Responsibilities:
• Continuously improve the operational framework for the delivery of Mobile Financial Service at all touch points
• Co-ordinate the implementation and delivery of new products and service through proactive engagement of key stakeholders internally and externally
• Manage the relationship between MTN Mobile Money and key external stakeholders - bank partners, central bank, master agents, and other statutory bodies
• Develop and implement a robust customer database management system to ensure full compliance to the regulatory and internal KYC requirements
• Overall management and support for key trade partners by providing prompt and proactive support in line with our Service Level Agreement
• Implement a framework for proactively identifying Mobile Money operational risk and developing proactive controls to manage them
• Ensure effective management of inventory and trade stock keeping units through effective forecasting and demand management
• Effective management of departmental budget to ensure optimal utilization of the departmental budget
• Responsibility for field force and agent base support - commission payment, monthly statement, performance tracking, sales force commission
• Develop and update Mobile Money Operational manual in line with the Financial Service Regulation

Required Academic qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent Business discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Financial Services or Banking Industry is a Must.
• Experience in managing core operations in a financial services organization with strong knack for firm operations control
• Experience in development and go-to-market of a financial product
• A qualification in Project Management is an added advantage
Other attributes
• Knowledge of the MTN products and services; Business Process and Internal policies and procedures
• Knowledge of and exposure to Retail / Dealer environment setting and methodologies
• Organizational Commitment and Performance Excellence skills
