Job Title: Circumcision Nurses.

The DGF Program Management Unit is responsible for the management and implementation of the program competent as agreed by the DSG-Steering Committee while observing the DGF Boards strategic direction.
Responsibilities:
• Work as full member of the surgical teams during SMC procedures
• Provide nursing care to clients attending the clinics
• Assess clinical patient problems including Cleaning , disinfecting and packing surgical instruments
Requirements;
• Preferably completion of a registered Nurses Training from a recognized institution
• Formal training in Circumcision service provision in a recognized institution will be added advantage
• Additional training in HIV/AIDS will be added advantage
• Must be registered with the Uganda nurses and Midwives council
Abilities;
• Minimum of one year work experience preferably in a circumcision surgical setting

The Infectious Diseases Institute supports roll out of Audit Safe Male Medical circumcision services as part of HIV prevention across eight districts in Uganda
Requirements:
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health
• Formal Training in SMC service delivery from a recognized institution will be an added advantage .
• Additional training in provision of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services will be an added advantage
• Must be registered with the Allied Health professionals Council
Abilities;
• Minimum of two year work experience preferably in a circumcision surgical setting
Duties;
• Conduct safe medical circumcision surgery for adults at respective fixed or mobile sites
• Ensure documentation of all surgical and follow up procedures
• Ensure that circumcisions are carried out safely in accordance with agreed policies
