                I. Pharmacy auxiliary staff            I

Role and responsibilities
• To assist the pharmacist to run the pharmacy prescriptions unit by receiving, advising and costing prescriptions
• To assist the pharmacist to run the dispensing operations by packing, labeling and providing proper drugs use information to patients
• To implement the pharmacy patient feedback mechanism
• To maintain clean conditions in the pharmacy by dusting and cleaning drugs and shelves
• Keeping pharmacy books of records particularly the prescriptions book
• To assist the pharmacy inventory manager to stock drugs by arranging drugs on shelves and advising on stock levels.
 Education, skills and experience needed. I
• Diploma in pharmacy or Registered Nurse/ Midwife
• At least one year working experience in a busy retail pharmacy
• Experience in computer packages like Microsoft excel, word and other office packages
• Working knowledge of retail point of sales programs like tally, retail man or positive retail manager
• Excellent communication, leadership and inter personal skills
• Proof of registration with the appropriate professional council

Role and responsibilities
• To monitor and report on stock movement by implementing and maintenance of the inventory control mechanism
• To develop, implement, document and continuously update a strategy for preventing stock loose
• Maintaining reliable stock count, reconciling system stock with physical stock counts and implementing monthly stock taking
• Develop, maintain and document a competitive stocking strategy for continuous availability of drugs
• Maintaining proper purchase records in accordance to pharmacy regulations
• Coordinating customer product feedback with suppliers
Education, skills and experience needed. I
• Diploma in pharmacy or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• At least one year working experience in a busy retail pharmacy
• Experience in computer packages like Microsoft excel, word and other office packages
• Working knowledge of retail point of sales programs like tally, retail man and positive retail manager

Job Pourpose:

Makerere University seeks to fill the position of Principal in the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT). Eligibility:
The person eligible for appointment should possess the following minimum attributes:
(i) Hold a PhD or other academic Doctorate or Masters in Clinical discipline;
(ii) Be at least of the rank of Associate Professor or its equivalent at the time of application;
(iii) Four (4) years managerial ability in Institution of Higher Learning or Research Institution with a track record of having served as Head of Academic Department or as Academic Programmes Coordinator or Research Project Manager.

Job Title: PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

JOB PURPOSE
To assist in implementation and monitoring 01 the NU-HITES health worker hiring program
implemented by IntraHealth. Support implementation of human resource policies, strategies, guidelines, rules, regulations.

BACKGROUND  INFORMATION:

The Northern Uganda-Health Integration for Enhanced Services (NU-HITES) project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aims to increase the use of quality health services and to strengthen systems for the delivery of quality health services in northern Uganda. The cooperative agreement between USAID and Plan International USA, NU-HITES' lead organization, began on August 8, 2012 and continues through August 7, 2017. NU-HITES is implemented by a consortium led by Plan International USA. The consortium includes IntraHealth International, the Tulane University School 01 Public Health and Tropical Medicine (Tulane), the Communications lor Development Foundation of Uganda (CDFU), Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG), and The AIDS Service Organization (TASO).
The goal of the NU-HITES project is to improve and sustain the health and nutritional status of northern Uganda's population. The NU-HITES consortium works to address barriers to the availability and quality of health services and supports the strengthening of health service delivery. NU-HITES has been asked to implement a health worker hiring program in the NU-HITES' districts, and IntraHealth is responsible for managing the program.
KEY FUNCTIONS
·The Personnel and Administrative Officer will be in charge of administrative issues relating to the hiring program in the Gulu office.
·Review the time certifications from the districts and the project sub-regions each month and help to resolve discrepancies or other non-compliance issues relating to them.
·Pass time certifications to the IntraHealth Finance Officer for payment of salaries, ensuring that a proper audit trail is maintained
·Keep personnel records of all the health workers hired under the program, updating as new information is provided
·Help with supervision of the health workers as directed, in collaboration with other NU-HITES staff
·Help organize meetings of all the health workers in the region twice a year and organize reports.
·Help with distribution of the health worker uniforms
·Meet frequently with NU-HITES sub-regional stalf to discuss and resolve issues relating to the hiring program.
·Assist in the collection 01 information relating to the performance 01 health workers in collaboration with the district olficials, in order to effect payment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
·Must have a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resource Management or Public Administration;
·Should have work experience 01 at least 3 years preferably with NGOs sub-sector;
·Experience in working with human resources is prelerred Should be well conversant with government operations with regard to human resource management.
·Strong interpersonal teamwork and programming skills Strong communications and organizational skills
·Strong skills in understanding, speaking and writing English
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Personnel and Administration Officer is expected to:
· Work with all the project staff on all issues relating to the hiring program.
·Accept additional responsibilities relating to the job demands.
·Work overtime as required.
·Travel throughout NUHITES districts
