Job Description:
We are seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the vacant position of Magazine Editor in our company.

Job Requirements:
 Reports: Human Resources Manager
Duties:
•Planning and executing timely publication of both the Group Magazine  and Kakira Sugar Limited’s in-house magazine, Habari Ya Miwa
•Constantly reviewing and recommending improvements of the publications of the group magazine and ensuring wide dissemination of information among employees
•Collating, writing and editing articles for the publication
•Covering important functions of the company ensuring media coverage as will be required by management from time to time

Qualification:
Bachelors’ degree in Mass Communication/journalism or Bachelor of Arts majoring in literature obtained from a recognized university.
Experience:
Appropriate experience in newspaper or magazine editing

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Office, the role is to coordinate all fiscal and administrative functions, financial management and budget projections, development and management of operations systems and administration
Key Accountabilities:
•Provide financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
•Develop and enhance, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall effectiveness of the organization

Qualification, Relevant work experience and skills
