JMS invites applications from suitably qualified people to fill the post of MARKETING EXECUTIVE.

Background Information:
Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a Church founded private Not-For-Profit organization whose mission
is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related healthcare services, and training of assured
quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.

Duties/Responsibilities:
The Marketing Executive shall implement approved marketing strategies and campaigns in a professional manner in order to meet the overall sales and marketing objectives of JMS.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Promote Joint Medical Store products and services.

2. Implement promotional plans for JMS products and services.

3. Recruit new customers for JMS and implement initiatives to retain them.

4. Conduct effective and targeted market intelligence to monitor the market environment, explore new business opportunities and recommend initiatives to address them.

5. Carry-out customer surveys, market analysis and submit informative reports to immediate supervisor.

6. Organize and attend promotional events, exhibitions and presentations.

Qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Health related field with a bias in marketing.

• Possession of professional qualification CIM will be an added advantage.

• At least 3 year’s working experience in Sales & Marketing of Fast Moving Consumer Goods or pharmaceutical business.
Computer literacy including experience in use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Proven experience in customer and market research.

• Relevant product and industrial knowledge.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Well developed Oral and written communication skills.

• Able to prioritize work load, use initiative, work as part of and lead a team.

• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability.

• Demonstrated high level of integrity.

• Valid Class B driving license.

Job Title:  Project Coordinator

UNICEF Uganda is recruiting qualified candidates  for the mentioned vacant  vacancy  above.

Qualifications:

Must  have  a Bachelor of Medicine  and  Bachelor  of  Surgery  degree  with master  of Medicine  or  Public  Health

At least  5 years  experience  in HIV/AIDS  implementation , monitoring  and evaluation ;  and  specifically  in prevention of Mother  to  Chief  HIV  Transmission  Programs

Good  knowledge of community –based  structures  and  implementing  community based  HIV/AIDS programs

Must  have an  excellent  grasp of HIV /AIDS  current  knowledge especially  on  HIV/AIDS  treatment  and elimination of  mother to child transmission  of HIV  current  frame  work  and national  strategies

Extensive  knowledge  of  MOH  national  PMTCT /ART  guidelines  and   implementation  modalities

Abilities:

Knowledge of the following  of the  functioning  of the  country’s  Ministry  of Health  and  decentralized  health  system

Experience  in developing  technical  documents  and reports

A high  level  of proficiency  in relevant  computer applications , particularly  MS Office  and  some  analytical  statistical  packages

Ability  to work well  with others  and to develop and maintain  relationships  with project  project staff , district leadership and other partiners
Strong skills in leadership , teamwork and  networking  . Good  verbal  communication  and writing  skills .
