Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Ensure that HR is represented in all areas of the organization and that the HR manual,

·         organizational structure and job descriptions are developed and regularly updated and in compliance with ECLOF standards.

·         Handles staffing plan, recruitment, selection, orientation, placement and separation

·         Develop compensation packages

·         Develop, implement and monitor staff performance management systems in line with

·         ECLOF guidelines

·         Develops and carries TNA and prepares staff capacity building programmes

·         Leave administration and Record keeping plus administrative work

Job requirements:

·         Post graduate qualification in Human Resource.

·         University degree preferably in human resources.

·         3-5 years’ experience at managerial level in financial institutions, e.g Banks, MFIs, Credit Institutions and MDIs.

·         Familiarity with the relevant labour laws, health and safety provisions, performance management systems Job analysis and profiling skills and current HR trends in Microfinance.

·         Experience in building and motivating highly productive performance Teams and culture.

·         Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and resilience.

·         Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization Ideals and Core Values.

·         Be proficient in Micro Soft office applications.

·         Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach with good communication and marketing skills.

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Monitor the financial performance of licensees vis-avis the assumptions embedded in the tariffs approved by the Authority.

·         Monitor the financial transactions between the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited

·         (UETCL) and generation as well as distribution companies to ensure that these are in accordance with the tariff methodologies in the Power Sales Agreements (PSAs) and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

·         Evaluate the financial feasibility studies submitted by the intending developers as well as licensed companies and advice on the appropriate return on investment (ROI) and the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC).

·         Work with the Economist in charge of Pricing and Tariffs to review the tariffs of the licensees as per the provisions of each license.

·         Participate in the investment verification exercise for licencees in liaison with the Finance and Administration Department.

·         Participate in budget reviews of licensees in liaison with the Finance and Administration Department.

·         Carry out periodic reconciliations of licensees to establish the financial position of the licensees.

·         Contribute to the production of the periodic sector performance reports.

·         Develop and maintain financial models for various licensees and establish the necessary database to update these financial models.

·         Analyze and advise on the sector investment requirements and quantify the impact on the tariff path.

·         Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Experience and Age Limit:

• An Honours degree in Commerce (Finance or

Accounting), Business Administration (Finance or

Accounting) or Financial Economics from a formally recognized institution.

• Full professional qualification such as ACCA, CFA or CPA.

• Must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Should be between 25 -35 years old.

Essential:

• Proficiency in relevant computer packages

• Should have good Analytical skills

• Should have good leadership skills

• Good communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills
