Job Summary:
The Head of Information Systems will be leading / managing the IT Team, the IS Head’s main role is to solve problems in a multi-server environment, through a variety of software systems and applications in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures, Donor compliance regulations, deadlines, contractual targets and budgets
The key deliverable will be to ensure that all information systems for programme activities are integrated; accessible to Senior management team via  dashboard and all programmes have the necessary information systems tools and support. This position will work closely with the research and metrics team to ensure the integrity of programme statistical data.

It is particularly important that the post holder is able to sustain a close and collaborative partnership with operational staff in the support office and field, so that project deliverables remain a focus of operational activities. This post holder will be able to work productively with the Research, Monitoring & Evaluation, Operations, Corporate Services, MDT and Social Franchising teams to ensure that programme activities serve the indicators in MSU’s M&E framework

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

-Coordinating and supervising multiple systems to work in unison, either internally or throughout a prescribed network of external platforms.
-Analyzes existing systems, and infrastructure, for efficiency and recommends upgrades and design changes.
-Develop budgets to accommodate the technological communication needs of various departments and service areas.
-Give direction, and motivation, to the team currently made up of four resources
-Clearly communicate Information System strategies to Senior Management and technically to vendors and team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

-The candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, computer technology or business administration is required.
-Skills set should include business analysis, system analysis and technical skills (networking or programming).
-A master's degree in a related field is a plus.
-Three to Five years’ experience in ICT management.
-In-depth knowledge of software, hardware and LAN (local area network) integration is necessary.
-The ability to work with remote teams
-Proven excellent technical oral, written, and editing abilities; ability to present and write influentially for multiple audiences

-To manage the filing process by ensuring that all loan application have the necessary documentation

-Updating the Repayment Control Sheets on a daily basis
-Ensure that the correct Procedures are followed when receipting, updating and reporting on payments.
-Monitor pending disbursement lists and follow up on any variances daily.
-Ensure that reports and administrative requirements are submitted in time.
-Ensure that all staff in the branch adhere to all Company policies and procedures at all times.
-Monitor, control and report on telephone usage in the branch through the completion of the Branch telephone register in respect of all calls made from the branch.

2. Customer Service
-Offer a professional, friendly and efficient service to customers focused on building relationships at all times
-Ensure that you are conversant with all services and products offered by the company.
-Ensure that all customer complaints/queries are dealt with immediately and that a record is kept of all actions taken to resolve the complaint and that the customer receives regular feedback regarding progress.
-Ensure that all customer complaints are recorded in the "Customer complaints register".
-Forward all successful sales leads to the Branch Manager for allocation to the loan officers
-Seeing every client as a potential sales opportunity.
-Listening attentively to the client's needs and suggesting a suitable product.

3. Marketing
-Ensure that you contribute to the profitability of the branch by meeting repeat and walk in sales leads targets set by management
-Assist the Branch Manager and contribute to marketing initiatives.
-Distribute marketing material as and when instructed by the Branch Manager.

4. Corporate Image
-Assist the Branch Manager in keeping the branch and your work area neat at all times.
-Ensure that the marketing material in the branch is neatly displayed and that display windows are clean at all times.
-Advise the Branch Manager timeously on the ordering of additional marketing material.
-Ensure that maintenance issues are reported to the Branch Manager.

5. Company Assets
-Ensure that you update and maintain the asset register on a monthly basis
-Ensure that staff in the branch use equipment for the purpose intended.

6. General
-Attend training and meetings as and when requested by management.
-Ensure that you are presentable at all times and that you adhere to the company's dress code.
-Ensure that you submit your annual leave planning to your manager in January of each year.
-Ensure that you complete your attendance register daily and that you submit it to your manager for verification.
