Key Duties and Responsibilities:

=Conduct daily systems monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
=Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions, also enrolling users and maintaining system security.
=Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
=Monitoring and management of OS, system hardware and applications performance.
=Assist in upgrades of server OS.
=Monitor and Maintain Linux and UNIX Operating System software.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

=The Systems Administrator should possess a good bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
=At least one to two years of system administration experience.

=Ability to write basic system and user documentation.
=Ability to work independently and resolve problems / issues;
=High IT skill level with most Unix commands and utilities.
