Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand, analyze, review, document and automate the business processes and the management reporting needs and manage requirements to the project level.
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
In charge of improving systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
Oversee the implementations from analysis to deployment and support
Offer technical solutions to address business problems
Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures
Actively monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports
Mentor, coach, train and support the end users whilst troubleshooting software issues

Key Performance Indicators:

Proven operational support for applications
On time and on budget Project Management for application initiatives
Develop and maintain project management plans.
Work within agreed Project standards.
Manage tasks and be responsible for reporting through project structures.
Duties are carried out in a professional manner to a high standard with due care and attention to detail.
Response time to resolve technical issues.
Suitability of design and quality of delivery and support to the user and management satisfaction

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field. Possession of a Post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
At least three years or more of relevant working experience in IT in business and functional analysis in F&B industry preferably.
Three to five years’ experience in Software design, planning and implementing IT solutions and strategies in a reputable organization.
Personal Competences: Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Development Process, Software Requirements, Analyzing Information, Teamwork, Software Maintenance, Written Communication, Promoting Process Improvement. Knowledge of SQL is a must.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicants should hold Degrees in Library and Information Science with additional training in Records Management, Data Management, IT, Computer Science and any other relevant degree

Duties:

The Secretary General will be responsible for developing the National Society’s strategic and business plans and for overseeing their implementation; ensuring resources are in place to achieve performance targets and monitoring overall performance against these while ensuring that Board resolutions are implemented.

Person Specifications:

The preferred candidate is a holder of a Master’s Degree in International Development, Management or related fields. Proven track record in leading and managing humanitarian institutions and development programs is necessary
S/He should be experienced in managing disaster responses, community resilience initiatives and any other relevant civil society activities preferably at
National and International levels. S/He will be required to expand and deepen partnerships, programmes and sustainable membership growth in Uganda.
The Secretary General will be a value -driven team player with a high level of interpersonal as well as strong financial management skills.
S/He will have competencies in areas of policy advocacy, fundraising and donor relations with capacity for regional and international networking. Skills in organizational development and change management are essential
S/He should demonstrate the ability to take positions that are in the interests of disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Experience of working with Governing Boards of membership organizations is critical.
