Job Title: Programme Coordinator

Organization:Solar Sister East Africa
Duty Station:Kampala, Uganda

Job Summary: The  Programme Coordinator will take lead of  the implementation and growth of the Solar Sister Programme in Uganda, to manage the Programme office and all operations, and to be the Programme’s local liaison in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

-In partnership with the CEO of Solar Sister, develop a strategy for implementation and growth of the Solar Sister Programme in Uganda.  Implement the strategy and initiate programme operations.
-Establish, manage and oversee the Solar Sister programme office in Uganda and all its operations.
-Mobilise, recruit, train, monitor, supervise, and evaluate the Regional Coordinators and programme office staff.  Oversee and direct Regional Coordinators in their recruiting, training, monitoring, supervising, and evaluating Solar Sister Entrepreneurs.
-Monitor all financial transactions, record keeping, and financial reporting carried out by the Solar Sister Entrepreneurs and Regional Coordinators.
-Conduct site visits to Regional Coordinators and Solar Sister Entrepreneurs for support, supervision, technical assistance, marketing support, and monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
-Plan and analyze sales activities.  Mobilize and motivate sales teams.  Monitor and manage sales volume, sales trends, and customer satisfaction.  Manage quality of product and service delivery.  
-Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual programme reports to the CEO of Solar Sister.
-Build and maintain solid, long-term working relationships with existing partners and networks.  Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and networking with new partners that will support Solar Sister’s strategic goals.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

-The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sales and Marketing, Development Studies, or Business Administration

Additional qualifications:

-Diploma or certification in Project Planning and Management
-Three to four years of working experience in development work / sales and marketing or other experience that can be shown to demonstrate excellent planning, management, organization, and execution of programs.
