Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect decisions from all courts of record in Uganda.
- Organize court decisions for summarizing and editing.
- Edit summaries for printing and publishing of ULR and HCBs.
- The incumbent will style manuscripts of ULR and HCBs.
- Responsible for conducting manuscript review and production.
- Prepare indices of the published titles.
- In charge of revising old publications.
- Prepare and maintain files of ULR and HCBs.
- Perform any other work assigned by the Editor or Head of Department.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from a recognized university. Possession of a Master’s degree in law from a recognized university is an added advantage. Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre.
- At least three years’ experience in law reporting or law reform/revision work.
- Computer literacy skills.
- The applicants must be enrolled advocates
- The applicant must also be a person of high integrity.
Salary Scale: LS6 (1,500,000 – 2,599,999)
Age: Below 35 years
