Job Title: Chief Operations Officer

VisionFund Uganda Limited seeks to recruit a strongly self motivated professional to occupy the above position .
Education
•A Good Business University degree
•Master’s degree in economics, economics , accounting or business administration and/or Microfinance will be added advantage
Experience
•At least 10 years post qualification experience with 5 years in a management position in a regulated financial institution .
•A sound knowledge of banking operations , human resource management , ICT , corporate communication and general administration .
•A working experience in Risk or Compliance department.
•Working knowledge of Lending to small businesses , Agricultural based businesses or individual lending
Abilities
•Determined personality with initiative , perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team
•Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude
•Extensive experience on the operational business of VFU
•Good knowledge in economic and financial topics
•A good trainer, facilitator , mentor, and coach
Main Tasks
•Plans , organizes and controls all the day-to-day activities of the institution , collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer in the overall administration of VFU
•Ensures that the targets set by the branches, agreed with the management , and approved by the BOD are reached ;
