Our client Laboremus Uganda Ltd, is a venture of the Norwegian company Laboremus Oslo AS, who is also the majority shareholder in Laboremus Uganda Ltd. The company was incorporated in Uganda in March 2013. Laboremus Oslo AS was started in 1996 and is a software development a graphics design company. The software development company mainly works for the financial sector and the advertising sector, developing databases, archives, workflow systems and web-based solutions, as well as web portals.
In Laboremus, we have a time management system where every task and every hour of the day is recorded in order to maximize efficiency and accountability to clients. Staff need to be able to manage their own time and record it, and they also need to be able to estimate their own efforts well when planning projects and tasks. Other than that, we practice a team-building management model with social gatherings and we have our own loyalty and retention programme with bonuses. Senior Software Developers
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the successful candidate will be working on projects for regional and Scandinavian clients through the office in Norway, working on/with teams of 2-3 Developers, rotating leadership and roles. The Developers will undergo training in Uganda for 6 months during which they will carry out Microsoft certification and work on local projects. Thereafter, they will undergo training in Norway for 6 months, mainly in EpiServer.
The purpose of the job is to gather requirements, develop specifications for the software, translate specifications into user centered designs for implementation, translate design in to code, test the software and fix bugs in the software. Other responsibilities also include maintenance of already developed software.

Knowledge, Education and Experience

•A University qualification in Engineering and/or Software Development
•Experience working with Microsoft .NET Platform using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework. Working experience in frontend development with HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular or Knockout.
•We are also interested in PHP developers with experience in developing Websites with WordPress Content Management System, MySQL, PHP frameworks like Cake PHP.
•At least 3 years of related working experience.
•Have had the lead on projects from beginning until completion; i.e. right from writing specifications to deployment of software and fixing bugs.
