Inspector of Schools Job Vacancy at Iganga District Service Commision in Uganda

JOB TITLE: INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS.

REF: DSC/156/02
SALARY SCALE: U4

REPORTS TO: Senior Inspector of Schools

Job Purpose:
To inspect and support the enforcement of educational standards.

Key Outputs:
i. Periodic inspection of schools carried out;
ii. Support supervision to teachers provided;
iii. Teachers’ performance monitored;
iv. Minimum Educational standards enforced;
v. Inspection reports prepared; and
vi. Teachers guided and counseled.

Person Specifications:
(i) Qualifications

• Should hold an Honors Bachelors Degree with Education from a recognized university or institution.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fi ll the following vacant posts in Iganga District Local Government. Interested persons should obtain application forms PSC Form 3 (Revised 2008) in triplicate from the Secretaries of District Service Commissions. Serving Officers should route their applications through their heads of department. Handwritten applications are also accepted.

Only photocopies of academic qualifications should be certified. CVs and any other relevant documents, as well as recent passport size photographs should be attached to each form. Closing date will be 4 weeks from date of advert.
