Job Title: Chief Technician.

Qualification:

 Masters of Science in Laboratory Management

Experience:

Laboratory work experience of three years two of which should be at Principal Technician level or its equivalent.

Duties:

-Supervise and maintain harmonious working relationships amongst staff under his/her care;
-Generate reports, inventories, orders and budgets;
-Oversee the proper use of work place equipment and facilities;
-Update, review and maintain standard operating procedures for use in the work place;
-Requisition, maintain and account for financial and other resources in the course of duty;
-Initiate and/ or participate in research and  consultancy work;
-Prepare and supervise students’ practicals, industrial training, internship and fieldwork;
-Complement academic staff in teaching practicals;
-Establish and maintain guidelines & regulations to ensure quality assurance and control; and, safety in the work place; and

•Ability to handle Clients in a courteous manner;
•Good interpersonal relations;
•Ability to communicate precisely and concisely;
•Analytical skills;
•Proficiency in using machines & computers;
•Time management; and
•Safety consciousness

Age Limit:Below 50 years of age
